Morocco is set to construct its largest logistics zone in the Western Atlantic Casablanca province, with an investment of approximately 550 million Moroccan dirhams ($55 million). This initiative is part of Morocco’s broader strategy as it gears up to co-host the 2030 World Cup with Spain and Portugal.
The logistics zone will cover 700,000 square meters and is anticipated to attract over 1.7 billion dirhams ($170 million) in investments. The project is expected to significantly enhance Morocco’s infrastructure and economic activities, attracting numerous companies and boosting commerce.
This strategic move aligns with Morocco’s vision to advance its role as a key logistics hub in the region, leveraging its geographic position to facilitate trade between Europe and Africa.
