Orange Money Jordan is deploying artificial-intelligence tools across the Kingdom’s largest e-wallet network as rapid growth in digital payments increases the pressure on fintech operators to strengthen financial-crime controls.
Under a strategic partnership with Jordanian technology company ADSTRA, Orange Money will use AI-supported sanctions screening, customer-risk assessment and behavioural-network analysis to identify suspicious relationships and risk patterns linked to money laundering and terrorist financing.
The move comes as Jordan’s mobile-payments market expands sharply. Orange Money says it has more than 1.7mn registered wallets and holds more than half of the country’s e-wallet market, while JoPACC data showed mobile-wallet transactions rose almost 80% in 2025 to more than 102mn.
The deal signals a shift in Jordan’s fintech market from customer acquisition and payments growth towards RegTech, automated compliance and stronger transaction-risk controls as digital-money flows scale.
Orange Money and ADSTRA have not disclosed the contract value, implementation timetable or quantified targets for fraud reduction and compliance efficiency.
